Well, the days of lazing around on the beach have come to an end. Tonight is our last night in Sihanoukville. Tomorrow we're moving on to Kampot for our last night in Cambodia. It's crazy to think we're going to be in Vietnam so soon, and crazy to think that our trip is half over.
It's been a really great time relaxing here. We're sure that this crazy little beach town is going to see a lot of change in the next few years. Right now as you walk down the beach, you first pass bungalows, and then makeshift restaurants sitting on the beach. But, if you walk far enough, there are still places that you can see cows grazing beyond the edge of the sand. Unfortunately, this area is scheduled for development, as are all the uninhabited, beautiful islands just off the coast. I don't think it will take too long for this to look a bit more like Thailand's busy, tourist filled, beaches. We're just glad we made it before that happens.

wow.. half way through your trip.. thats crazy...
time has flown... I've been in Korea 100 days now, so yeah, time is going quickly.
And its almost a month until my parents come here..
Dont you find it crazy how going away from home for a longer period of time, opens your eyes to a lot of things? I hope you see and learn even more when you go onto your next places.. it might be a vacation, but God still challenges us in our situations :)
Hope you guys keep having an ass-sa (konglish for awesome) time!
Yup...we're moving on too.
After a quiet relaxing holiday (reading, sleeping in, enjoying time with family and friends) it's back to reality...work, school and routines.
This is a good thing - and there will still be time for reading, family and friends (no sleeping in though)
Happy new year, guys. I just finished reading all your posts. Good to hear your thoughts/how you're being challenged. We're thinking about doing a family trip like this in a few years.
It's been good to be here for Christmas this year but i am so fed up with all the stuff. makes me sick.
happy trails
