The Past Week in Photos

Well, perhaps we don't have pics of everything that took place since we went north, but here's a few.

We're back in Phnom Penh. We plan to spend Christmas here and enjoy the wider selection of food here. It's going to be a touch sad without our family and friends, but we'll manage. Perhaps it'll be good to be away from the "holiday season". Reflections on that to follow.

this is a perfect example of small town Cambodia...yup that's the ticket counter, and the red dust of Ban Lang.

our little puppy friend Venus...he sure reminded us of Denver The Buddy Man!

that's the best we got of an Irrawaddy Dolphin

The Mekong from the boat...wide and muddy!

cows are often seen wandering the streets, this one is along the Mekong in Downtown Kratie.

Hi Erin & Brian!
I just love reading your blog and keeping up with your exciting adventures! Thanks for including all those pictures, they are amazing. I took note of the one with the fried spiders...yikes...I don't think I would have been able to try that! Take care of yourselves!!
Love Carole
PS Merry Christmas!

Wishing you all the best for a Blessed Christmas. I think turkey would be a lot better to eat than fried spiders. Stuffing just doesn't go with spider legs. Love you both. Mom Rowaan

The girl's mouth is open, and there's a fried morsel in her hand. But the hand is poised at a rather safe distance from "tasting", isn't it? Any pics with a tip of the leg sticking out from between clamped-down chompers? THAT would seem more like "tasting"!

Oh you of little faith....Jim, I think you're always the one to be skeptical with our photos. If I remember right you tried to accuse us of painting back drops when we were in Africa...and now you're demanding even more proof. Unfortunately that's as much "proof" as we have. I suppose you'll just have to trust us! Thanks for keeping our comments section full! :)
